Birth Injury
Birth Injury – A birth injury refers to any harm inflicted on an infant before, during, or after childbirth. These injuries can vary in their severity, but the most debilitating ones affect the baby’s brain and can cause defects such as cerebral palsy, brain damage, and brachial plexus palsy. While many of these unfortunate injuries are the result of natural causes, a great deal of them are also caused by mistakes, miscalculations, and negligence on the part of the hospital staff. These faults can include delays a in C-section delivery, use of excessive force in a delivery, and miscalculations in the size of the baby. If your baby has developed a birth injury at the hands of a doctor, nurse, or other hospital employee, you are entitled to compensation.
